U13 Champions Caledon KIXX
The Caldeon KIXX U13 Boys soccer team went undefeated in five games to claim the “North American” Division championship of the West Niagara Invitational Tournament on May 2 and 3.
The boys played Oakville United and won 3 to 2. They then faced the Ancaster Titans and won 2 to 1. The next game was against the Darlington 96ers and this hard fought match ended in a 0-0 tie that completed the first day.
To start the second day Caledon beat Cambridge United 2 – nil. The KIXX were ready to face Darlington 96ers again in the championship game. This game was a true battle. These two exceptional teams played to a 1-1 draw which took them to a shootout. The teams each took 5 shots and Caledon won the shootout 4-3, which created a final score of 2 to 1.
Coaches Mauro and Enzo feel that all of the players should take pride in their efforts and sportsmanship. Congratulations to the boys for an outstanding start to their season. The support of the parents was very much appreciated.
