CALEDON CRUSADERS FINNISH A SUCCESSFUL OUTDOOR SEASON
The Caledon Crusaders U15 boys recently won the South Region Soccer League (SRSL) Championship League Cup in an exciting and thrilling game.
The Crusaders Jerome Smith & Denzel Blair each scored goals before St Catherine’s Roma scored 2 quick goals to tie the game. It had come down to a very tense penalty shootout!
In the penalty shootout ,goalkeeper Devonte Scott was outstanding saving 2 penalty kicks. Jerome Smith, Alex Natalizio, Riley Crean, and Milik Bernard scored on their shots to give the Crusaders a much deserved win.
The team has improved throughout the year while playing an attacking and creative brand of soccer. Along with being the SRSL League Cup champions, they also won the Regular Season Championship with a record of 14 wins and 1 loss.
The team scored the league`s best of 63 goals and also allowing the league lowest of only 19 goals against this season. In the Toronto Cup tournament, the Crusaders placed second.
The Coaching staff are looking forward to the continued improvement over the winter with the off season training program.
